Suppression List

A list of email addresses that is never to receive an email from your organisation. When a campaign is sent, it is washed against the Suppression List prior to the campaign being delivered to each recipient.

When people say they never ever want to receive your email again - whether via an unsubscribe link or a call to your call centre or an email to the marketing department - they should be added to a Suppression List.

With Campaign Master it is impossible to accidentally send a campaign to someone who is on the Suppression List. If you import a list of names the Suppression List remains untouched. You cannot manually re-activate the recipient without also removing them from the Suppression List.

Of course, if the recipient has a change of heart and re-subscribes via the subscription form they will be automatically removed from the Suppression List.
